Serving your country or your community comes at a cost that isn’t always visible. Veterans, police officers, paramedics, firefighters, and other first responders often carry the weight of what they’ve witnessed long after the job is done. Operational stress injuries, PTSD, depression, anxiety, and relationship difficulties are common — and they are treatable.
You don’t have to manage this alone, and you don’t have to pay out of pocket to get the help you deserve.
Veterans Affairs Canada Funded Counselling
If you are a Canadian Armed Forces veteran, you may be eligible for counselling funded through Veterans Affairs Canada (VAC) and covered by Medavie Blue Cross. This means your sessions could be covered at no cost to you, depending on your eligibility and benefits.
As a registered provider accepting Veterans Affairs funding, I can work directly with your coverage so you can focus on healing rather than paperwork.

Why EMDR Works Well for Operational Trauma
EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is one of the most effective treatments for PTSD and trauma — and it’s widely used with veterans because it doesn’t require you to talk through every detail of what happened. It works by helping your nervous system reprocess traumatic memories so they lose their grip on your daily life.
As an advanced EMDR practitioner in Victoria, BC, I offer EMDR 2.0 and specialized protocols designed for complex, layered trauma — the kind that comes from repeated exposure to critical incidents over a career.
A Safe, Non-Judgmental Space
I understand that reaching out for support can feel difficult, especially in cultures where strength is prized. My approach is practical, evidence-based, and completely free of judgment. We go at your pace.
I work with veterans and first responders in person at my Victoria, BC office and online throughout British Columbia.
